The Refinery Creative Incubator was established in 2019 by Sunshine Coast Council in partnership with SunCentral Inc. and the Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance, The 10-week creative incubator and community building program was designed to transform creative practice and ideas into sustainable businesses and supported over 60 creative entrepreneurs in its first four years (2019-2022).
In 2023, The Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance (SCCA) took the reins of The Refinery with a renewed focus on personal growth and leadership – expanding the program into an extensive all year long professional development platform, with the creative incubator at the centre.
